Famous Ait Atta in Saghrou

This small mountain massif lies between the Central High Atlas chain and the enormity of the Saharan desert. The erosion is very varied, with its tabular massifs, basalt peaks and deep gorges.

7 days trek long to take you on a tour of this beautiful place. Saghro peak, at 2800m dominates the landscape and the land itself is pockmarked with numerous tiny villages populated by the tribe of Aît Atta, you'll trek through the Black Mountains, explore the Berber villages, experience the local culture and cuisine and pass by what is known locally as 'a gigantic head of bones'.

Day 1: Marrakech – Quarzazarte – Qalaa M’Gouna – TAGDILT


Your first day will take you straight to the Saghro region, via Quarzazarte and Qalaa M’Gouna and boumalen and then you'll take a dasty road to tagdilt village for th first night. The day will be about 6 hours of driving.

Day 2: tagdilt-imi nouzarzam-iferd nwal-almo nwarag


After loading the mules, you and your group will head out into the Saghro region, through rose bush fields toward the Black Mountains for a day of trekking that lasts approximately 5 hours. When you reach where you will spend the night, a bivauc in almo nwarg, you can look out over the immense vista of the High Atlas, as it reaches heights of over 4000m.


Day 3: Tizi nwarg - kouaouch sommet (2800m) tisidar- igli


5 hours of trekking will bring you deep into the Saghro region and introduce you to some wonderful sights. Tadaout’N’Tablah appears as a forest of rocky peaks and at Tizi‘N’Taggourt, you will encounter what has been described as ‘a gigantic head of bones’ at the plateau. Your bivouac will be at Igli, an area populated with some houses and cultivated farming areas.


Day 4: igli- afourar valley- bab n'ali- valley amguis - ighazoun n'imlas


The 4th day will consist of 6 to 7 hours of trekking and take you past the amazing bab n'ali ( the door of ali) and through Irhazzoun’N’Imlas, a hamlet of pisé dwellings, to make camp there.


Day 5: Irhazzoun’N’Imlas - Tidalsine - imi ntghouni - taljajt - asaka n'ait ouzine


Today a 5 hours of trekking will take you to a deferent sight folowing a big road so the walk will be easyer but magical  crossing villages with more population. bivouac will be near bye ait ouzine village.

Day 6: asaka n'ait ouzine - ifri nouzaka - tizi n'tagmoust - anou lmars - tidkit


After an early morning, you and the group will travel into vast area with moderat road made bye nomade motobikes zith ther tent all around.after that a simply stunning view of magoun mountain (4098m). After 6 hours, you’ll make bivouac camp in tidkit nera irrigation cannals

Day 7: tidkit - ait youl - dades gorges


A half day walking treu a road all the way down to the river of dades where is lunch time and the meeting point with the driver that will take you to your hotel in dades gorge after 1 hours driving wehre we stay for the night.

Day 8: drive back to marrakech


Drive back to marrakech crosssing the famous tizi n'tichka pass(2260m). drop of in marrakech in your acomoditation hotel or riad.and of services.
