Chegaga The Real Desert Experience
If you have never been in the desert, this is the best choice.
A mixt of beautiful sites, valleys, oasis and sand dunes is waiting for you on this trip. Discover the desert in its real sensation and warmth. Following the way of caravans since the ninth century, but also visiting some of the major sites, monuments and studios in Morocco.
Three days that could get extra more days according to your wishes. If you want to spend more days in the desert we can cross from “chegaga desert” to “erg echabi” on a 4 days ( up to 8 days trip) for more enjoinment and adventure ( quad, camel riding full day, nomads visiting…). You can also choose a variety of possibilities from staying in a nomad tent to a luxury one with private shower and toilet, otherwise you can choose to ride camel to see the sunset and back to swimming pool and overnight in the hotel.
Day One: Let’s The Journey Began.
Our professional guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad to the start your day with zig-zag way up to one of the highest road mountain pass in morocco called -tizi n’tichka- from where the views will absolutely started to change with a domination of deserted landscapes. The first visit is the historical site and the international treasure of –Ait benhadou- village the projected earth buildings protected by UNISCO and the chosen place for some of the famous movies (gladiator. The mummy…).
Next is a visit to the studio of cinema –OSCAR- the greatest one in Morocco with some of the famous temples an status used in making movies such as Indiana jones, Cleopatra, kingdom of heaven, babel…
In the end of the day you’ll got a little extra when you will visit –Kasbah Taourirt- the biggest in morocco. After that diner and night in the hotel in -Ouarzazat-
Day Two: Dunes Here We Come
we start the second day with a drive along the magical Moroccan canyon that leads to -Daraa valley- one of the biggest oasis of palms in the desert side about 250 km. crossing many small towns where the –Tamnougalt Kasbah- that we will go for visit, we will get to -Zagora- the center of trading in the past between- Marrakech- and -Timbuctoo- . visit of a Koranic school that englobed 4000 books and ancient religious text. A stop to have a look to the traditional pottery in –Tamsgout- village is the last thing before we started to get close to -mhamid-where we met the camels and start the ride to the camping in the heart of the dunes. Relaxing while watching the Sunset, losing stress while you will listen to music around fire and getting new spirit when you’ll go to sleep surrounded by millions and millions of stars.

Stunning sunrise is waiting for you to give a lovely start to your day. Breakfast and then driving across the dry desert lake of –IRIKI- an off-road for about 1h30.Back to the road and to –Foum zguide- village and finally to -Taznakht - the local traditional rugs center.
Started from there we will follow the same way back to Marrakech where we guide you back to your hotel/ Riad. End of services.
